Florence

Sales and Logistics Assistant

Who are you ?

My name is Florence and I am 49 years old.

I started working at Clayens NP Savoie in September 2000 as a temporary operator. My daughter was starting kindergarten and I wanted to go back to work.
Before I started, I didn't think I would stay, it was supposed to be a short mission!  I started as an operator.

And I stayed, I signed a permanent contract in September 2001.
I worked as a press operator until June 2006, when I was asked to replace a quality technician during her maternity leave. Again, this was supposed to be temporary. The person I was replacing resigned during her parental leave, and I stayed on in that position.
At the beginning of 2021, I was offered a position as a sales and logistics assistant, which I accepted.
The opportunities that came my way allowed me to evolve, to learn... The step was sometimes high from one position to another, it was a challenge to take up, but benefiting from an internal recruitment means that the training you get on the job is extremely enriching, as are the external trainings I was able to benefit from.

Today, the position I hold has the particularity of being able to use the experience acquired in my previous functions. At the commercial or CAPM (logistics) level, I know the items we deal with, I know them as an operator and as a quality technician, I use my past experience for my new tasks, and for me, this is a strong point.

How long have you been with Clayens ?

I'm celebrating 22 years of service !

What are your assignments ?

At the commercial level, I am in charge of checking orders, updating prices, updating projects in our follow-up software.
At the CAMM level, I process modification notices, the creation and updating of articles and I am in charge of injecting customer forecasts into our SAGE platform.
I have also kept a quality part, concerning the creation or update of control programs, plan validation, I have been trained in Quasar software and I sometimes replace the quality technicians in case of absence.

Tell us about a typical day ?

In the morning, we always start by checking the orders. The time spent will depend on the volume received.
Then, my tasks are distributed according to the need of the day, at the commercial, CAPM or quality level. The versatility of my job means that my days are different every day, yesterday's day will not be tomorrow's, and, of course, that's what makes this job so interesting and motivating.
Today, I am proud of the path I have taken and grateful to my company and the people who have allowed me to learn and progress.
